I have just started doing my level 3 apprenticeship. So far I have done one professional discussion and I have met my TA once and I have now got a new one. I feel like I’ve not been taught everything that I need to know to complete all my work. I’m being taught as if I’ve already done like a level 2 and as if I should know how the process works
I have learnt a lot since starting my apprenticeship. By reading new policies and doing online courses. I’ve learnt a lot of new words to use at my place of work. But my knowledge is slowly getting better and better. I enjoy learning so I take everything on board
I like this programme because I’m learning new things everyday on the job. I like the fact that by the end of my apprenticeship I will be fully qualified to do the job role that I am in and go higher in my career and possibly do another apprenticeship course again.
For me personally I don’t think it has been structured or organised that well just because I had a few days to prepare for a professional discussion and was struggling to contact my TA. At the end of a webinar you are never told what your next steps are straight away.
I don’t receive to much support as I work everyday it’s hard to get the chance to catch up with my employer but I do have a mentor but she is off for annual leave for 5/6 weeks and I have no one in place to replace her and help me out
I have only just started this apprenticeship so I don’t have much to say on this topic. But with my first professional discussion I tried contacting my TA for some guidance and didn’t hear back for her for a few days and it only left me a week to complete my work
I think it had Llo helped my me perform more better in my role because I’m becoming more knowledgeable and I’m able to understand a lot more things. I can have more detailed conversations with parents and staff members. I can help out more in the room that I am based in
Not to my knowledge I only know that we do open days for parents to come in and have a look around the nursery. But there aren’t any activities that I can get involved in after work. The only other thing is also parents evening but not much else
Yes
I think anyone that is wanting to better their career should do an apprenticeship getting to learn whilst on the job just improves the way you work. Learning on the job has always been the easiest way for me to learn being practical. I would recommend this to someone wanting to further their career
I don’t really have any tips for applying. But just to be yourself and express why you would want to do the apprenticeship and how it would benefit you in the future. Do research before you apply to anything incase it’s not the right thing for them a
