  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My current role involves running and reporting back on a range of CT activities to help get to the overall annual savings target. I run the daily team calls as well as the trackers and meetings related to the projects I manage.

  • I have developed my project managements skills as well as my communication skills as I interact with senior people in the business.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the rotational style of my programme meaning I get to spend a year doing one job then move to another one allowing me to develop a variety of skills and find an area I can really shine in.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is really well structured. BT are really accommodating to my university studies and the changes needed to my weekly timetable.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As a whole BT are really supportive. They ensure all their managers of apprentices know how the process works and what they should be doing to make their apprentice have the best and most valuable experience.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am given my required 20% of employed time for study as well as the support from my manager and HR team when it gets closer to assessment time where I am often able to take a little extra time away from work.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification allows me to identify my skills and opportunities to develop in the workplace. There are some terms where my learning doesn't relate to my job as much as other but this is expected.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are loads of extra activities to get involved with at BT. Whether that be socials after work, customer events, school/apprentice events to promote BT or the opportunity to be a part of the charity sports teams.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I think it is an amazing company to work for with so many benefits. Within the offices there are always people around to help with the tech side which is super convenient as we really deep into the Digital Age.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • Be yourself. Everyone at BT is unique and has there own ways to shine. Don't try to be someone else as BT are looking for the people that stand out.
