  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves helping the Payroll department to carry out day to day tasks and working with my team to ensure this runs smoothly and properly. I take calls, respond to queries via email and file incoming data. I also process incoming information, or, if unable to do so, allocate this to the correct person.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having a qualification with a role is a brilliant idea as it helps guide students through the working life, as this will be new to most apprentices. Even if an apprentice has had experience before, as I had, every work environment is so different so it still can be beneficial.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, WWL is a massive family and there are lots of activities to get involved in. Recently, we celebrated our big birthday and a lot of events were held for this. I got to engage with other departments which was wonderful and really made me feel proud for who I work for.
