My role is maintaining truck vehicles with doing inspections and learning on daily basis. With fixing any defects that occur on the vehicles aswell as with maiming filling up screen wash oil levels and in general just making sure vehicle is fit for use. And if having a MOT ready for it
I have learned a lot in 2 weeks with learning how to replace brake pads. Aswell as replacing both batteries doing battery tests through whole time. aswell as inspecting the vehicles fully which includes filling up liquids and checking oil levels as such to make sure that they are above the min line
I have been really enjoying the programme I have done a work experience awhile back when I was in secondary school with motus commercials. Which Then I applied for the apprenticeship and got accepted although I haven’t gotten my grades but they still put me through gladly. Very happy with the outcome
Very well organised company everything runs smooth with everyone having set tasks during the day. This is extremely useful to keep workflow smooth throughout. I’m comparison I asked others who work here and motus is a lot better company than most when comes to organisation. Especially with selected jobs.
I have Recieved a lot of support from the employer with them setting me up fully with all my OEE, including overalls and boots aswell as hivi vest which is extremely helpful for starting makes a lot more easier. With my transport to college paid for and meals aswell as hotel to put me up for two weeks at time
I have Recieved alot of suooort with them providing me with help towards getting my key skills putting me through it whilst working at the company with a good pay rate for my apprenticeship. With them putting me through all my courses and key skills which meant I now get to do it
They have defiantly helped me with providing me siooort answering all my question I have asked them during my time with having meeting with me during working times. They assist me giving me all info I need to make going to college a smooth experience unlike some companies who don’t do this
They are not any of these events although at end of year having a Christmas dinner out. Which have all been invited for even the apprenticeships which is good way and pushes you work harder throughout the year. Which is good for company and for staff to keep motivation high
Yes
I would recommend it to a friend who is ambitious as thats what company stands for and someone who can have a good laugh and take jokes. As it keeps spirit up in the company which is what you need in work space like HGV mechanic. For sure defiantly beneficial
Some tips I would give to those who are about to apply if never been in HGV trade to try take some work experience with the company to make it is what you want. For you career with in company and then have a lot of options when employed to expand further
