I am a housekeeper within premier inn, my role consists off cleaning and preparing the rooms of the hotel, ensuring that the room is up to brand standards and to provide a great quality of service for guests.
My confidence has increased over this period of time, to the point i feel comfortable and confident to start conversations with guests and others, I have also learnt about hospitality as a whole and dove deeper into the business aspect of things.
I really enjoy how much information I gain from the programme and how I always come away from my sessions with full understanding of what we was just talking about. I also enjoy how free the learning feels and how easy note taking is.
The programme I feel is very organised as I know where we will be meeting up for our sessions and the time to meet up at. We are always sent emails before our sessions that tell us what we will be going through in that session.
I feel the amount of support I get from my employer is quite a lot as she has gone through some dates where we can plan for our off the job training, along with giving and providing us with information and resources for us to complete our tasks.
I feel that I am getting a lot of support from my training provider as she makes the learning of modules very simple and quite easy, whilst also challenging us when needed to ensure that we are gaining and recieving the information. Also if I am stuck on a certain thing she will offer help that is more helpful towards myself.
I feel that this qualification helps me to develop my knowledge about hospitality as whole and therefore helps with my job role in many ways, such as helping me get a long better with customers and being able to meet and see to their wants and needs. I also feel it helps me to understand how I should look at ways of being renewable.
We are currently raising money for charities, such as GOSH, by having something called a tuck shop, where the company will buy in snacks and drinks and we as employees will purchase these items in order to raise money for charity.

I would recommend working for whitbread as it is a very nice and easy company to work for and also has a lot of flexible job roles, which I think is really good for students or those who are in education and would like to earn some extra money. It is also a very to yourself type of job which is nice but also everyone works as a team.
You can use whitbread to progress up in the hospitality business and work your way up through professions. I would also tell others that working for whitbread is a good and easy company to work for.
