I feel this has been really interesting and informative. On each unit ai feel I take something or reflect in my role. With Care Act laws and legislation I have even made staff aware of changes or ideas from my unit. I have many one to ones with my tutor and this really gets me reflecting and realise how much we do in our role and why it is so important.
I find it really interesting. I enjoy doing units and trying to break each section down into my role and how I manage. Sometimes it is hard to set aside time to get it done but always manage to complete the units. I would recommend this to every colleague as the skills and knowledge is good to have.
It is very well structured. was a bit difficult as the website platform was changed over but my tutor still stayed in touch and walked me through each step. Every unit is broken down and they have a PowerPoint each section that the tutor goes through with me. I am always informed if not sure to contact her.
My manager Michelle always gives me time to do this and asks if I need any support with time to complete the units or practicals. I am very grateful as helps when stretched. We look ahead for the commencing week to see where u can find gaps to fit in the units or observations.
My tutor Tracey Lewis is absolutely brilliant, she is really interactive and manages to get me talking and reflecting in my role. Tracey always marks my work and then helps to break down the question so I can add further information on subjects and makes me realise I knew it already but changed the wording.
Ii feel it is a really good learning tool, and really gives me the confidence in my role as an addistant manager. I feel since doing my level 3 and now going straight to my level 5 was great as know what to expect and already in a routine with the work load. I feel it has helped perform and achieve in my role lots and with looking at promotion.
We have many things we offer in our role. We work with the air ambulance to support a charity in the community. There are also BSL, Manaton and offer courses available if staff are interested. We have an activity centre the Arc for clients and training facilities for staff to learn more.
Yes
I feel it is a good company and always puts the clients first to make it person centred to their needs, choices and home. There are many opportunities and support to look at promotion. I have and would recommend to people who are looking for a job opportunity. I like that they also have rewards so staff feel valued.
I would say to definitely look at the courses or apprenticeship available to you, this gives you so much knowledge in your role, and gives you skill and confidence to support the people we Support. You also get a grade and can take this with you for any promotion or role you are working towards.
