I am working as a store apprentice within one of the aldi stores in the Neston region.I get to perform daily tasks such as till work, stock rotation, working deliveries, checking deliveries, date checking and also providing good customer service all of the time. I also have the pleasure of working with an excellent team.
before I started my apprenticeship with Aldi, I would be that person who would hide behind their book so that the teacher wouldn't pick them to read in class, I would get really nervous and shy when speaking in front of other people that I never knew.I believe in the time that I have been here, Aldi has aided me into being a much more confident person and have removed that uncomfortable feeling when speaking to other people.
I am really enjoying my programme I feel that it is the perfect job and opportunity for me to progress and do well within the company. I enjoy working as part of a team. Working at Aldi has extremely exceeded my expectations and I would recommend the Aldi apprenticeship scheme to anyone who is looking to establish themselves a career within a fast paced hard working environment.
I feel extremely valued as I get on with all the members of staff and feel motivated by the management team to go above and beyond what I can do,
My apprenticeship programme is very well organised and the management team gives you the best knowledge and experience when working, so that you can perform to maximum capability. They also find the best times for when I can speak to my assessor about the progress that I am making, and are very flexible when it comes to arranging the next meeting.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, they are always interested with what done that week and weather I am improving. my training provider regularly comes in to see my and sets me questions so that I can learn as much as possible when it comes to my role as a apprentice.
I think that both my store manager and area manager play key roles in supporting me through my apprenticeship. they are always very welcoming when asked questions, and always find the time to help me with any problems that I face.
As I am only 17 years of age and on my first year of my apprenticeship, my salary is excellent and more than covers ant travel costs.
