I work in a main stream classroom as a 1:1 with a child with SEN. My main jobs are to keep my child focused and regulated.
I have learnt various different techniques to help regulate my child. I have also learnt various interventions that I complete with other children.
I found it supportive and informative. When I struggled with anything, I contacted my tutor and he helped me to resolve the problem.
It was well organised, and Student focused. The tutor was always very positive and allowed me more time when I struggled.
I could not have managed it without my employer. As well as the TA course I also needed to complete English and Maths to the level required to complete the TA course
Again, I alongside my Employers support, I could not have done it without the them.
I now have a better understanding of my role and how to best help my 1:1 and other students.
Yes, social events are arranged.
