Writing automation test scripts using Java and Cucumber tool. Collaborating with other members of the SDLC including developers, product owner, project manager and business analysts. Working in an agile environments I am currently working on a project for Barclays Mortgages department.
Learned coding skills, learned about SDLC and the different methadologies, learned about cyber security and also the importance of testing early.
Thoroughly enjoyed learning from scratch and attending courses to gain knowledge whilst also learning on the job.
Programme is well structured with clear timelines on how you will progress in the apprenticeship
Employer was very supportive and always made sure I had all the tools and time needed to be able to work on my apprenticeship. They also supported me with learning and were patient in helping bring me up to speed.
Training provider was great in pushing the exams and making sure I got my necessary qualifications. They were clear in what the expectations are and what I needed to do to ensure I was successful.
I learned the foundations of the testing role through completing my qualifications and this ensured I had a good base knowledge to perform well in the role.
There are multiple clubs and groups that you can join such as sports, gaming and fit clubs.

They are keen to push your development and really help and listen to your career aspirations. There are great apprentice schemes which have really jump started my career
