On a day to day basis I work deliveries, work the partial, do CCTV checks, date checks and much more. I have a day one day a week where I am able to do my coursework and focus on my qualification along side of doing any training that may be required.
I've learned so many new skills, This can be from improving my confidence in any decisions I make for our team, to confidence in myself, active listening skills, time management skills, how to display good body language, how to resolve conflicts within my team or any I might have with another team member and learning how to manage my own stress.
I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship program so far, It has massive improved my people skills and communication skills. It has allowed me to learn and grow in a sector I had never worked in before. Its also allowed me to gain new skills and learn off of people who have worked in the sector for many years.
My program has had some structure to it after 2 and half years for working for the company. At first it was too structured and I felt I didn't have to knowledge I do now because it was fixed shifts, then I felt it was so unstructured that I couldn't get anything done at work so I had to do it at home. Now I have a balance for it all.
I feel I have so much support from my direct leader. He has always gone out of his way to ensure my needs are met and when I have my own personal problems going on at home he makes sure I know I always have someone to talk too and that I feel heard.
I feel I get the right amount of support from Life training and my learning coach Helen. They have always replied back to my questions and answered them as simply as they possibly can. it always makes me feel heard and im aware that if I ever need anything, that be information or someone to listen to my concerns, they will do that and more for me.
Yes
Because I feel Aldi is a company that has allowed me to not only grow in my role but grow as a person. it has not only given me knowledge and skills in my role but for life aswell. Aldi has really helped me become the person I am today.
Have confidence, even if your not. When I applied for Aldi, I knew how hard it could be to get a job. I managed to have confidence and submit an application, even tho I knew I may not get the job. I had a false confidence through all the stages and it allowed me show my team my personality and working ethic.
