Assisting the team with documentation of samples, attending client meetings and completing testing. Despite being the least experienced, I have helped on year end audits and planning stages of the audit.
My excel skills and professionalism has improved massively from being exposed to work at PwC. I now feel more confident to attend meetings and put myself face-to-face with clients. Alongside this my knowledge of audit testing and assertions has grown.
Despite being very busy in my opening weeks of my placement and working long hours away on client site, I have learnt loads both practically and socially. I was lucky enough to get accomodation in canary wharf during my placement so all in all I enjoyed my placement.
I enjoy having the 4 month placement for one university term and then rejoining university in January, it really is the best of both worlds!
I really felt like one of the team when I joined PwC and got support from my buddy, career coach as well as the university team.
The university provided seminars following our placement to assist us with our revision for our upcoming exam.
My studies at university have allowed me to develop a base understanding of the area of audit which I was then able to apply during my placement, understanding the correct accounting treatments to use.
I attended a social event with the RH&TS Industry group which was a great evening allowing me to socialise but also unwind from work.

They are supportive in understanding your pathway and your limited knowledge and experience. All of the teams I worked with were committed to coaching me through my work and helping me better myself practically. The career prospects and culture at PwC makes you want to work there.
