I would complete and evaluate EGAs of numerous company's pensions of the current year and compare with the previous year to make sure there was no material errors. I would create templates and look up people's jobs to make sure they are qualified for what they are doing. I have had lots of meetings, which may include one on one time with my senior associate helping me know what to do or discussing what we need to get done, i have had team meetings for my different clients to keep us up to date at what stage we are all at and i have had calls with clients discussing what has changed over the last year. I have been given a number of different jobs throughout my time there which is helped me learn so much.
I have learnt many skills as i came in not knowing a lot and have come out knowing how to complete numerous EGAs, create STV templates and sign them off. I have learnt where to find information and how to navigate myself around the different websites PWC use. I believe i have learnt a lot when it comes to pensions and now i have a thorough understanding on how it works.
I have really enjoyed my programme as it has allowed me a balanced life, as i have been able to learn and develop so much working in the office but i have still managed to go home and to university at weekends to enjoy some time away from work. It has also allowed me to develop skills i couldn't anywhere else and helped me mature more quickly as i am working with adults all the time every day.
It is well structured, as it allows you to experience university and learning and working each year which gives you a good balance of learning and working as it is two different things, and that allows your mind to always be active and i believe more invested in both the studying and working. It also helps motivate your studies as you get to experience what you could have if you pass.
I have been greatly appreciative of the support i have received since the first day. There has always been someone there to help me with anything, if that's another colleague in the office with something small or all my senior associates who helped helped teach and coach me all the time to help me develop.
I have not received a lot of support when revising for my qualifications but i believe as the work is different to the university , as i do my qualifications at university I believe this is why. When it comes to support from the university i have received some help but not a lot.
Again as i said before i don't believe this question is completely suited to me a i don't have a training provider, but i believe some of what i have learnt in my qualification as helped me in the work environment. However most of the things i have done in work is different to what i have learnt in my qualification.
Yes, this is extra activities, since i have been in the office i have participated in a work football game and there was also an office lunch which i attended, There has also been other activities and events which i have not been able to attend, like the christmas dinner.
Yes
As they are very good at helping you feel welcome, they give you a lot of support and help with work and settling in. There is a good community in the work place and lots of people to speak to. They are all very understanding and flexible when it comes to work which is good when trying to keep a balance of home life and work.
I think it is always important to be your self and always thriving to achieve bigger and better. I would say to be confident and believe in what your doing as that will help get you far. A big thing for me is not being afraid to ask lots of questions to people as people are always willing to help and it will help you adapt, learn and develop more quickly.
