My role is to provide children with the best possible care whilst being at the nursery, to safeguard them, provide activities that will help them develop and achieve their next steps
Yes I have gained a lot of knowledge about children and understand what my role is. I also have learnt day to day things like how to change nappies, activities for children, daily risk assessments etc
I enjoy my programme a lot I just don’t get on with some of the girls with the way they treat me and therefore it ruins my experience.
I feel like it’s got a good structure to it. Seeing my assessor once a month gives me time to finish work which is set and do it my the best I can.
I receive a lot of support from my employer
I receive a lot of support. They are always supportive and supply resources which can be useful
It provides me with the knowledge that will help me with my role and understanding what my role is.
Not that I am aware off
Yes
I would say yes and no because there are some lovely people you get to work with. You gain knowledge and are always there to support you. However some of the girls that I work with unfortunately haven’t made me feel welcome and make my experience working at banana more difficult
Just be yourself. Don’t be afraid of asking questions and getting things wrong and everyone does. It can be stressful but it’s very rewarding watching the children develop
