  • My role involves, building relationships with children and their families, helping to get them school ready. Supporting children to develop their skills and their independence. I communicate with parents on a daily basis and support learning and development.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have become more understanding of the birth-5 matters, due to working in early years now, I used to work in a primary school so I have definitely braddened my experiences.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed the programme, up until recently where I have found it very daunting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Good, everything is well presented and easy to follow.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I mainly do get chance to do my 7 hours realise time every week, however this has only been recent as I did struggle to get realise time before the new manager took over.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have had monthly live lessons and individual tutorials, which are always good and informative, just hoping to continue to receive support throughout the end point assessment and going forwards into it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have become a lot more knowledgeable and am able to link theory to practice, thinking about WHY things happen and why we need to do things.

  • No we don't have any opportunities for this.

  • Yes

  • Yes, they're a good company to work for, very supportive and helpful however a little slow on communication.

  • Think about how much you really want to work in child care!
