Working on client engagements looking at risks and controls. Designing controls to help mitigate financial and other risks.
Using Microsoft Visio to create process flowcharts. Improved all Microsoft skills. Learned how to write risks, controls and create a RACM (Risks and Controls Matrix).
I thoroughly enjoy my programme.
Very well organised, college periods are condensed in short-term but full time periods which suits my learning style.
A fair amount of support from colleagues and our managers, however the professional qualifications team can be unsupportive at times.
A lot of support, I have been very impressed by the round-the-clock support provided by the tutors, with them often replying to emails sent out of college hours to answer questions/explain concepts.
I do not feel that my qualification is particularly relevant to my role and that I could in fact do my role without the ACA. It helps when looking at company's financial risks and understanding financial terminology.
Yes EY excel at providing sports, cultural and other networks.
Yes
The people are all fantastic, everyone is very kind, inclusive and supportive. The job is varied which keeps it exciting. Gaining the ACA is also invaluable.
Do mock interviews and do wider reading/research around the job role.
