  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Assistant tax advisor - helping the team with client deliverables and meetings. Drafting invoices, emails, etc., completing onboarding process for clients, attending meetings, working on a range of projects including withholding tax, reporting regimes such as DAC7 and CESOP, etc. Day-to-day also involves a lot of training (both internal and external) and learning about tax.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured. We are given study leave in order to complete our professional qualification and my team is respectful of my time when I have to study and work at the same time. We know in advance when we will be in office and when we will be in college which is very helpful. However, it would be useful if we could also have some internal training regarding our specific subservice line before we start in the office.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer when needed. We are given study leave for our exams and my colleagues are very respectful of the fact that we have exams and college, i.e. it is expected that during this time we will be focused on exams and not client work. There are a lot of resources available if you need support and these are regularly highlighted.
