My role within the store is a store assistant, so on a day to day basis I will be on a till serving customers or either putting out stock on the shop floor
I think that my confidence in myself has developed a lot during my time on the apprenticeship and also my customer service skills have improved aswell, I have learnt newer and quicker ways to be be helpful to customers whilst also helping the store.
I really love coming into work, it makes it a lot better that I get on with every member of staff, as soon as I started the welcomed me with open arms and helped me when I needed it and shown me methods on what to do next time.
I feel very valued by Aldi as I have been given a very good opportunity to rise up the ranks within the store which many people don't get the chance to
My programme is well organised, my assessor will come and take observations every couple of weeks and then I will have questions to answer which the assessor will record.
Every time the assessor will visit me in the store, they will ask how I feel I am getting on and has anything happened since there previous visit, I feel I could go to the training provider of I had any problems with the relationship.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and I know if I am struggling with something I know I will be offered help or a method to make it easier for me.
I am very happy with the wage I am on because I know if a work hard and put extra hours in I will be rewarded at the end of the month, it is amazing how the rate is different to other apprenticeships as Aldi expect you to earn your wage
For students that have just finished school it is hard for them to gain employment as most employers are looking for experience rather than youth and the Aldi apprenticeship has given my the opportunity to a manager status
Yes
I would recommend Aldi to a friend and I have recommended it to friends and also when customers ask what it like I tell them that it's a great place to work and that if they know someone coming out of school that they should apply for it online, the store team welcomed me nicely and every member of staff that have joined since have been welcomed equally.
I would advise applicants to make themselves stand out within there application and big themselves up to make themselves sound amazing, if you get an interview then be confident and if you get to a work trail then work as hard as you can as quick as you can.
