  • helping the case team with a range of different tasks such as booking meetings, writing notes, doing document review and maintain team documents such as annual leave trackers

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt more about work in a office based environment and i have learn a lot to do with the competition act 1998

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The Btec cause i found quite boring and not very engaging but i think that was just due to the slides we were given. As i was with Qube before they went into liquidation i saw the slides from both companies and they weren't very engaging

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • most of the actual course was done with my first provider and the interim period of finding a new provider was quite difficult as it made us take a long gap between modules and extended the courses timeline

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received all the support which i thought was necessary and felt very comfortable in asking for more if i felt it was necessary

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My tutor was very helpful with my course as she was always willing to help with any questions that i might have had

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I wouldn't say it helped me as i felt like this course was more suited for a strictly admin role for private business and not for a governing body

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • yeah they have a few but with hybrid working becoming more popular i could see that there was less opportunities for this

  • Yes

  • I enjoyed the work environment as you are valued regardless of your grade and they care about the wellbeing of their staff


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Competition and Markets Authority?
  • Always ask for help if your stuck, no matter how silly it seems as everyone is more than happy to teach you
