  • I’m a mental health support worker supporting young people in their day-to-day life with managing their thoughts, feelings, activities, education and employment. I also support young people to appointments in the community and provide specialist techniques and support during times of crisis/self-harm.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I’ve learnt a range of skills and areas of knowledge which have massively helped me with maximising my effectivity in helping young people to the best of my ability. I have gained specialist knowledge in specific areas vital to perform my job role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the interactiveness and personalisation of my programme, speaking 1:1 with my tutor and accessing resources online from anywhere.

  • The programme is structured very well and tailored to maximise my interaction.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my employer, my management are in contact with my tutor and they help where they can with assisting me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am currently also working towards a Psychology degree and my tutor has been very helpful and kind with supporting me in my apprenticeship alongside accommodating through understanding my current work load.

  • Working towards my qualification has provided me with more confidence and a deeper understanding within my job role and performance at work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are monthly team meeting and reflective practices with our in-house therapists which although they are mandatory, provide me with the chance to see all other team member and give the opportunity for us to express our thoughts and feelings together.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • My workplace is very welcoming and well-structured, I have worked in many previous job roles/workplaces and Libre Living has had a much higher standard of care and overall structure/organisation which makes it very enjoyable to work for.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Libre Living?
  • To explore knowledge from resources such as training courses, the internet and reading to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities of mental illnesses and behavioural management to maximise your confidence and performance at work.
