My role included: giving personal care, so that would be a full body wash or shower or bath. I would assist with getting people dressed and I would make beds. Toilet people, assist with meals and drinks. Do activities with the residents.
I learnt how to recognise other types of abuse in the elderly. I have learnt to how to communicate with people and recognise falls risks and how to handle stressful situations.
I thoroughly enjoyed this programme, I liked learning different skills and being able to ask for help and support. The tutor was lovely and helpful.

I received a lot of support from my employer. I was given time off the floor to do my tasks
I received quite a lot of support
It has helped me to understand more about different situations in my job that require more knowledge and experience.
In my job you can do ambassador roles, you are given a topic like first aid or incontinence and that would be your specialty
Yes
The software is easy to use once shown, the team at realise is very easy to talk to
I would use your time wisely. Be organised and always be open when a subject is difficult.
