My role involves anything from replacing components, to rebuilding machinery like pumps and valves. I am also expected to problem solve different scenarios
i have learnt plenty of new skills, mostly to do with engineering in general, and improved on a lot of existing skills like pipework
i really enjoy the course and I think I am improving a lot as the apprenticeship goes on
the course could be run a little smoother, the college side gets a bit messy by assessors leaving which means we then need to get used to someone new coming in which makes it a little difficult and also mic ups in communication
my employer gives me all the support I need and I always have someone I can go to if I need anything
The training provider gives me a lot of support as well and always helps me if i need it
i think there are some aspects to the qualification that the training provider give to help me improve but most of my improving comes from learning on site
there are extra-curricular activities, however i do not get involved with them
Yes
the company help me with whatever I need and support me, which is all I really need in a job role
Be positive and willing to get stuck in and involved, and don't be afraid to try stuff
