To provide excellent personal care to children up to 11 and key work a group of 3-4 year olds, observing, assessing and planning activities to promote their learning To work with the staff to build their knowledge on early years and to build good practice across all rooms. I communicate with parents about their child's day, progress and concerns raised.
I have learnt more about how other people have different ways of learning and how to support all the staff differently.
I enjoy recapping knowledge from the level 3 course and continuing to learn about how to mentor others and how to use the knowledge to support others learning.
Overall, I think it is structured very well, there is some units I believe could be put together and that the assignments should be written down exactly what is needed as some are not clear and based on what your assessor says.
I have lots of support from my employer who helps me set up time to do work with other staff.
I have lots of support from my assessor and know I can email or call during working hours if I need help.
I think this qualification has helped me to perform better as I now have the confidence to say this is why we are doing it like this in practice and know how to help others learn.
