My current role involves a variety of jobs. Working on tills, working stock, tidying the shelves, which we refer to as carding. Date checking the products that have expiration dates. The job often pushes me to my limits and makes me really strive to be a better worker and helps me improve my skills.
From working, my communication skills have heavily developed and I can now better get my ideas across to people. I have better learned how to deal with people and situations I would otherwise run away from previously. I feel these experiences have really helped me grow as a person and improve myself.
I enjoy the program as it pushes me to learn more about management, a skill which will greatly help me progress my career and reach my goals I wish to reach in life. I am grateful to be given the opportunity and time to learn these skills and improve myself.
The program is very structured, and following the deadlines really tests your memory and helps to keep you on track to maintain these skills for life, rather than forgetting them immediately. It truly feels as if this course was perfectly designed to train people to reach their potential and become better managers.
My employer hasn't supported me as much as I would like, giving me next to no time to dedicate to my studies. Until this week, I had been a collective zero hours to do any work and had to rush some at home to keep up. I was told they knew nothing, but wrongfully assumed they knew to give me time, given that I am not the first apprentice they have had to deal with.
My training provider has supported me decently well. I haven't felt the need to reach out for help from anyone, but I have been made aware of the various ways to contact them and how and where to speak with them if I need support. They have done an excellent job so far
From just the first part of my course, I have learned the many ways of encouraging a team and how to better communicate with customers. These help me better encourage my team members and allows me to help them work better, as well as letting me better help customers who come to the store.
There are no extra curricular activities in my work place. The most anyone will talk about outside of work is going on a night out once in a blue moon. Despite this, I still feel like everyone in the work place is part of a great community and we all support each other
Yes
Aldi helps individuals work better as it is a high pressure environment where work has to be done quickly yet efficiently. The work helps individuals grow as people and develops their skills highly. There's a reason all other retail workers want Aldi staff, as they're all trained well to meet high standards.
If you want to work at Aldi, make sure you are eager to learn and work hard. Make sure that you have a good work ethic and that you can be available for a variety of shifts, as they are more likely to take you on if you are flexible
