  • As a technical consultant my job entails working closely with the stakeholders, understanding objectives, managing expectations and delivering tasks to the developers

  • I have learnt an array of skills, from coding, web development, creating robust documents and how to analyse effectively

  • I enjoy my programme immensely as i have been able to learn a lot

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is extremely structured as it adheres to the 80/20 method. I spend one day a week at university and the rest of my time, i dedicate to working and learning at IBM

  • There are many lines of support i have here at IBM. I have my peers, mentors and managers i can contact if i need any help

  • At university, i receive good support through my teachers and skills coach

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel as though there is an overlap in the teaching from university and through work, though i pick up a lot of my learning by just doing the tasks handed to me at wokr.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am eager to get involved in events and groups and I have done so, however most of them seem to be located in London

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • IBM continues to be a place that is friendly, inviting and positive. There isn't an element of intimidation at all and I firmly believe working here would appeal to people like me who had no corporate work experience prior to working here


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Be authentic, remain enthusiastic and do your research about the company before your interview.
