  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Assisting with physiotherapy treatment. Providing physio sessions to children and young people. Writing patient notes and doing admin tasks and signposting families to resources.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot about physio therapy and treatment that is given to aid and improve children with a variety of different problems including neuro, msk, orthopaedic. I have been able to take part in data collection and presenting at conferences.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme has a lot of content with lots to learn and can be hard to juggle a good work life balance. I however enjoy learning new things and being able to discuss things further in a workplace to know more about it and to understand it better.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is organised and structured well. However, it is hard to have a whole week off as university requires you to be in as normal. The uni days are the same which gives continuity.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My colleagues in the workplace can be supportive when providing off the job training and supporting my learning and knowledge in the workplace. However, sometimes support hasn’t been the best from management

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Salford University are very supportive and provide you with as much as they can to guide you through exams and assessments with lots of writing support available through library services.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have been able to use my knowledge in my workplace to implement exercises programs and sessions for children and young people. The knowledge I have gained has helped me broaden my understanding and ability to research to find the best physiotherapy approach

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have conferences that we are able to attend where we can network and present ideas

  • Yes

  • Good environment to work in. My colleagues are supportive and approachable and will give you time to improve learning and help where required.

  • Be yourself and voice what you would like to achieve and accomplish.
