Calculating and Drawing building services using AutoCad and Revit programmes.
Learning building services as a whole including Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, domestic plumbing and soils and wastes. I've learned to calculate values for these systems and draw them using Revit and AutoCAD programmes.
I absolutely love working here, and have really enjoyed getting to learn more and be involved in projects
Very well structured, with regular meeting with my line mangers to monitor our progress and keep us in the loop with everything that goes on. This programme works well along with my university course as I build a deep understanding of the fundamentals as a mechanical engineer and i get to put this into practice every day during work.
Very supported as the office environment is a great place to work with it being really open and I feel I can approach anyone here if I have a question or are unsure of anything. My line manger make sure to explain things very well and pushes me enough to keep me learning as I go.
They are Fairly helpful in answering questions about what to do at each step of my journey in becoming a qualified engineer. As well as keeping us on the right track to do what is best for us in achieving this goal.
I learn the core fundamentals of mechanical engineering that helps me gain a deep understanding of what I do in my day to day role in the office.
We have regular social events to let us connect better as a business unit as well as having regular trips to the main London office to meet the business director and other apprentices across the UK.
Yes
I feel is it a great working environment and allows me to develop my skills in becoming a fully qualified engineer. Being in a workplace 4 days a week is massively beneficial with gaining experience that you wouldn't get unless you were in a an apprentice programme being able to work along side university. The company makes a conscious effort to make sure you are involved by getting you to do presentations to the whole business unit.
Go for it, I've really enjoyed my time here so far, and have learned many valuable skills already.
