Daily tasks include supporting wider security team. Working on various security projects across group technology estate. Attending security briefings and adding value where possible.
Absolutely, new skills are developed almost daily. This is a great opportunity to develop.
I find the programme challenging but at the same time supportive. If you are keep to learn and try to add value where you can Natwest colleagues will support your learning journey.
Natwest have fantastic structure. QA could really do a better job forecasting your learning events so you can accurately communicate with colleagues your availability.
100%, I have yet to have a negative experience from Natwest and I have genuinely felt supported from day one.
I feel QA have some procedure bugs that could easily be addressed. More awareness of training dates would help to make sure you are available for key training sessions. Generally the quality of tutor is good and I do feel the teaching is effective.
For me I am completely changing career so the qualification gives me a structured learning path and an industry recognises qualification to support future opportunities.
There are various apprentice networking events and opportunities to goto expos/trade shows. There are also lots of employee lead networks.
Yes
I was nervous to start this journey but I honestly think I have made a great choice. Natwest seem to be a fantastic supportive employer and I look forward to completing my apprenticeship and rolling off into a full time role.
Do it as soon as you can. Research Natwest values before interview and just be yourself.
