  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My overall role is to offer support to large programmes and feed them data to help them make informed decisions and see variances that need to be reported. My day-to-day role is to support and shadow the manager in that functions.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills while working in my role, One of the main skills i have learnt is the opportunity to attend the APMG Training course allowing me to start to understand the role and the skills required. I have also been able to enhance my excel skills while also been offered to progress my ability's in presenting PowerPoint presentations while receiving feedback from my senior staff

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme I have am working on. It has offered me loads of new skills but also the work i do is benefiting other people which is a good feeling.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Programme is organised really well, we were told at the start that we are on a 3 month rotation through the disciplines within project controls, This will/has allowed me to get an understanding off what they do in that disciplines.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, I have a daily call with all line managers and apprentices and graduates that are working on my programme and I have weekly calls with my line manager.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support from my training provider to achieve my qualifications. However I think that they could offer more resources when setting assignments.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification has help a lot to allow me to perform better as it has so far given me the basic understanding so far allowing me to understand and follow the conversation I hear on calls or in person

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have been to several networking events already. I attended the Project controls Expo, EVA 29 and a TRU networking event. WE have also had work social activities where we have been out and played a shuffle board and then been out for food.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Arcadis to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They offer training and further knowledge and education, they care about staff and well being and everyone is approachable. Arcadis just want you to grow and succeed and that is why i would recommend


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Arcadis?
  • Just be yourself and take some interest into the company and research projects/ programmes they are involved in.
