my role as a apprentice dental nurse is to work along side a dentist and support them with day to day treatment or struggles. Also my job is based on patient centred care and how wr can help our patients in the best way possible.
i have learnt how to communicate with patients, time keeping, leadership, social skills and many more whithin my time here.
i really enjoy my programme and think it is the best way to move forward if you want to do more practical hands on things instead of just studies. this apprenticeship gives me alot of opportunities to learn a variety of things.
my programme is very well organised and structured. giving everyone an opportunity to develop further.
my employer is a very good manger and helps with everything and does anything she can do to resolve issues. she is the best for advice and will always be willing to help were she can.
i receive alot of support from my mentor and the team. this is helpful in situations where i dont understand some things.
this helps me perfrom better in my role as it makes me want to progress and be more independent.
in my workplace we have social events which is good to interact with the team and have fun once a while!
Yes
doing an apprenticeship is not easy, as a young woman i feel like i would have not made these developments if i hadnt joined this team. The support i get is very appreciated and i would love to recommend this programme for others. i have already recommended to a few freinds which have actually joined and love it so far.
i can give a couple of tips to get them started of: if you need help do noy be afraid to ask, talk and communicate to your best ability and do not fear to ask questions about anything going on in the environment you work within.
