As a business developer I managed the daily and monthly paperwork. I call all the builders/landlords to see what they have coming up and to also make them aware of all of the offers we have on. I also send all of the eshots and texts for our offers to the customer.
My knowledge selling kitchens and joinery is something that I have learned while doing my apprenticeship. My overall confidence has developed, and I have developed my skills like time management and Problem solving
I absolutely loved my apprenticeship, I have never been in a job that I really enjoyed. Within the first week of me starting my apprenticeship I knew Howdens was where I wanted to be! I have passed my apprenticeship and have got a full time job - now i have moved onto a new role as trade counter sales. To what extend do I enjoy my programme, one of my favourite examples is during our big sale I had my nails Howdens related.
VERY WELL ORGANISED! My assessor and the colleges communication was brilliant, Howdens made sure I had all the training accessible and the support if I needed it!
So much support! From not only management but other staff members are always in hand to help!
My assessor was brilliant, not only was she there to support me with my qualification and maths, but anything I felt I was struggling with or unhappy with she was always there to offer support and guidance.
It helped me in many ways, having a better understanding of customers and customer service has helped me, helped me build relationships and keep customers loyal to us.
So many! I have recently done tough mudder 10k challenge through Howdens. In the summer we go go- karting and do cricket. I personally have been on Talk TV, talking about apprenticeships, I also have been to the national apprenticeship awards! There is always something to get involved in here.
Yes
Howdens is a brilliant place to work. The company genuinely care about the staff. Always push you to achieve more but it benefits you in the process which makes you want to do more! Living my best life as a Howdens employee!
Sales can be hard, but with the right mentality and passion you will succeed and it will be worth it!
