  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I rotate to different areas every 3 months for most of the 4 years, I help out in the teams i am in during my rotation.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Within my rotations, the team leaders try there best to give us work but most of the time its the same job i will be doing during the rotation, sometimes i will help out on odd jobs and learn something new.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Can get a bit repetitive when Im doing the same job everyday but other than that i do enjoy coming into work, everyone is friendly and happy to help

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • At the start of the apprenticeship it wasnt structered well and there was very little communication, its now gotten better but most of the team leaders arent expecting an apprentice to join them so sometimes wont have much work for us to complete

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • To start with there was very little support and we were sort of forgotten about but starting the second year it has changed and we are receiving more support

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The new college is a lot better compared to the college we first started at. We have had a great amount of support from the tutors and they are always happy to help

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • So far i have not used anything i have learned from college at work as the areas i have been in so far it is not needed but i think it will come in useful in the future

  • There are plenty of extra-curricular activities that i could get involved in but i haven't joined any yet

  • Be truthful when applying and do your research on the company before your interview.
