My main responsibility is procurement and commercial management of subcontract work packages.
I have learnt a significant amount about the construction industry from completing training provided by BAM and through communicating with colleagues on my site.
I find my program very enjoyable, it can be stressful to balance apprenticeship work with site work, but there are always colleagues to support me.
The programme is very well structured, the block release programme allows me to focus on my apprenticeship work away from distractions on site.
I receive a significant amount of support from the early careers team whilst i am completing my apprenticeship and from my colleagues whilst I am on site
My training provider has supported me very well with the epa process and I have benefitted from the small class sizes which allowed me to get a-lot of time with the lecturers
The level 4 qualification has given me a base understanding of construction processes and practices which I will be able to take into my Level 6 qualification.
There are a significant amount of social activities which allow me to travel around the UK to see different construction projects and network with different colleagues. I have also had opportunities to meet and network with the leadership team.
Yes
I have received all the support I require to complete my apprenticeship. In addition to this the block release programme offered by BAM has given me the opportunity to network with colleagues from around the UK and I was able to focus on my studies during this period.
The leadership team are very easy to communicate with.
