Working on different clients over the financial year. Working with different people and doing different kinds of testing.
Yes, I have developed my professional tone and how to talk to different people (clients, colleagues, seniors etc) additionally I have developed my excel knowledge as well as many on hand free-to-use platforms to learn more about local and global businesses.
I have really enjoyed my time at Mazars so far. People are so kind and patient and their key message in the day to day is to teach you and expand your knowledge.
This programme has multiple stages and review points and you are guided carefully through well planned and thought out stages/meeting and trainings even outside of just your university/college programme.
Everyone is super kind and nice and focus on your development. You have constant coaching and a connection with so many other apprentices from your joining year as well as the years above you.
You have so many support networks from teams chats with other colleagues within Mazars who are working on the same qualification as you as well as the years above you, who have already completed their qualifications. Additionally you have 2 large support websites to use for when you are working towards your qualification, with many practise tests, live sessions, recordings and online textbooks.
I believe they really understand how knowledge is required in the audit and how much a school leaver needs to know, especially on a yearly basis.
Mazars have many socials to enjoy, we have a very creative social committee for every office that gets us involved with all the different departments and local offices. From pub quizzes to helping our local community and our end of the month nibbles, there is plenty of time and options to network with colleagues.
Yes
It is such a kind and welcoming place, especially when it is your first professional environment outside of school. It focuses on your development and knowledge in the real professional setting.
Be yourself, Mazars really does embrace diversity within the community. The want to welcome people from different educational backgrounds too, so don't be afraid to apply even if you don't have any experience to audit prior to applying. It is hard work so ensure you are ready for what you signed up for, however, it is the most rewarding thing you can apply to.
