As a project manager degree apprentice I am responsible for helping with a range of projects. Typically my day consists of replying to emails, meetings, admin tasks, shadowing and if I have time I complete training.
CGI have enabled me to learn and develop several new skills. They promote upskilling and have a range of training courses available as well as members who are willing to take time out and support you. Personally, I have had regular meetings to discuss progression and upskilling.
I really enjoy my degree apprenticeship. I feel like it is well rounded and I am able to have work-life balance whilst being a member at CGI as well as university student.
I feel like my programme is very well structured. We have an amazing Early Careers Lead who has made the transition to corporate very seamless.
I have a lot of support from CGI. I have a mentor, line manager and buddy who I keep in regular contact with. They constantly provide me with support whether that is regarding work or university.
I am able to receive support. I have been provided support on numerous occasions when I have ran into issues or had questions.
I feel like my university course enriches my technical and business knowledge. I can make evident links to course content and applying things I learnt at university to work.
CGI are amazing regarding extra-curricular activities. They offer a volunteering day; have a range of networks that members can join; and a Sports and Social Club to join exclusive events.
