I am currently in the projects sector of the business and our role as a team is to work on new projects where our BMS have been installed in building and to ensure it works efficiently, reduces costs, and helps our customers become much happy in a more sustainable environment. my role on a daily basis is on site helping and getting involved in making our customers standards and there demands met. our BMS system gives us signals on faults that may occur in and around the building that could help customers resolve issues quicker, this is by connecting each unit of choice by our customers choice to our BMS and us commissioning them to make sure we get the right signal going back to our BMS when something goes wrong.
commissioning units and working our system, figuring out how it all works and the brains behind it is my key aim, this is a slow but great skill im still learning and hope too by the end of my apprenticeship.
this program has opened my eyes to a variety of opportunities to learn, network, and expand my knowledge to what I want to get into in the future, it has been an excellent experience so far and im looking forward to what the future holds for me in Schneider!
I am given time to get on with my university work and time to learn on site about my day to day role, the balance is very good and it is definitely well structured for apprentices like myself.
my employer from the first day I started has always supported me and guided me to the right path for my own benefit to take in as much knowledge and grab on to every opportunity given to me. management wise it has been excellent, im always given time to work on my university work and im put on different projects where I can soak in and learn as much as possible.
I receive a lot of help, not only from my training provided but everyone in my team, its never been a doubt in my head that I wouldn't get the support im getting on a day to day basis and I am truly grateful.
training courses provided are specifically meant for what I see and participate in in work on a daily basis, it helps understand and learn much more, and it has given me a lot of confidence to engage more.
yes, we recently as a team participated in a friendly football match, this was great fun and was good as I was introduced to people within Schneider that I haven't met before.
Yes
it has given me a sense of purpose, routine, activeness and exposure to may opportunities that I never thought I would get.
