Leading a team of contract and commercial specialists to ensure IT contract are managed effectively and that costs are kept under control to maint budget predictions.
I have enhanced my understanding of how to monitor and develop strategies by implementing a strong management metric system, as well as how to compare our business model with that of a competitior.
I really enjoy the programme, it provides me with opportunities to learn on the job as well as develop and enhance my skillset. The work is demanding, but it does force me to read and learn about areas that I might not have looked at if I wasn't doing the course.
The programme is well organised. There is a regular catch up session with a tutor who remains your constant connection throughout the course. The lessons are planned in advance and there is lots of supporting information for each module.
E.ON provides fantastic support, I have a day a week dedicated to my studies and I also have regular conversations with my manager to discuss progress and ensure that there is support provided if needed.
The training provider has been brilliant in responding to any concerns and queries that I have. My tutor put in additional sessions when I was struggling with elements to help support me, and there are a lot of additional services to take advantage off for support if needed.
It is early days, but I have already started to think about how I can add elements from my training into my role and how I can adapt to better provide support to my staff and additional ideas into the workplace to raise efficiencies.
There are coffee mornings organised to network with the wider team, there are walking events arranged to help with wellbeing and to encourage socialising.
