I enjoy this programme a lot. I get to meet loads of people, ranging from apprentices, graduates and long serving employees as well as employees from other countries. I get many benefits and I have a say in how my career develops.
I fell fairly well valued. Everyone understands you are an apprentice but you are treated the same and still given many opportunities.
The structure of the programme is very good with reviews with my foundation scheme manager regularly to check my progress.
I feel like I have loads of support available to me any time I need it. I have 2 mentors and lots of people that are always available to help me.
I receive a lot of support from my task manager and foundation scheme manager. They both make sure they know what I need to help me develop.
It meets my costs well at the moment. If I have to travel far my employer will cover the travelling costs.
There are loads of volunteering activities that you can get involved in outside of work as well as during working hours. There are many communities from technical groups to sports groups.
Yes
There are loads of opportunities to be taken and you can really drive your own career. The support is fantastic and there is always someone that knows how to help you if you need it.
Be confident and always involve anyone you can for advice. Try and get as much work experience before as you can and make sure you research IBM well.
