  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • From Study I've developed applicable knowledge that I can make use of going forward into new sectors & jobs. Such as a competent understanding of management in the work place and how to deliver value. To developing professional, high quality, software (technical) solutions. In my Role I've developed professional skills to manage myself in the workplace. Learnt how to use tools to trouble shoot programs in testing and to improve the coding practices used in a code base.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find that Manchester Metropolitans course is Exceptional! Not just in the learning/teaching side but also in support for studies and wellbeing. An area even top Redbrick uni's desperately fall short on. Of course there's room for improvement but that's being nit picky

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised and competently lead. With clear lines of communication and signposting if you ever have any concerns or trouble with the course. I've had minimal conflict in coursework, which working round a full time job, is very appreciated that they take this time to plan around each others courses.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Minimal. While there is a desire to provide support there are certain elements that come across as begrudging. With a hard stance also needed to get the time required to work on studies. Though your experience will depend on the area you work at in the company.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Complete support, alongside the patience and the extra step, to make sure you can make the most of what's offered

    10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It given me more context on how the business operates around me and view it with a critical eye, identifying the flaws present and the means to address them, technical or operational. A complete spectrum of working knowledge.

    10/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are... But there's some disparity. If your into football you'll get a free hour each week to play, without using your lunch. If you want to join a walk group once a week, that'll eat up your lunch break. There's 'extra' things on, but you'll either need to make the time back for them or eat into your time after work (depending when held and what work pressures your under).
