  • My role involves assisting the lead broker in their role of placing insurance for a client. This can involve organising client visits, meetings, drafting endorsements and contracts and uploading them to a system for underwriter agreement.

  • My time management and organisational skills have improved significantly.

  • I enjoy the programme quite a bit as my team are great to work with.

  • It's quite well organised however it would be better if we had more information around exams and coursework as we had very limited discussions.

  • I receive a lot of support from my employer, specifically my team.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do get some support but I don't have much communication with them in my opinion. We mainly communicate when I need to tell them the date of my exam and the result and they don't contact any more than that.

  • It helps give more background to the industry, so this helps with my day to day tasks.

  • we have quite a few networking events with underwriters which is beneficial to build relationships

  • Yes

  • My team are really supportive and I feel that most other departments would be similar, therefore its more enjoyable.

  • Be yourself in the interviews so you can see if you're a right fit for the company.
