My role involves assisting the lead broker in their role of placing insurance for a client. This can involve organising client visits, meetings, drafting endorsements and contracts and uploading them to a system for underwriter agreement.
My time management and organisational skills have improved significantly.
I enjoy the programme quite a bit as my team are great to work with.
It's quite well organised however it would be better if we had more information around exams and coursework as we had very limited discussions.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, specifically my team.
I do get some support but I don't have much communication with them in my opinion. We mainly communicate when I need to tell them the date of my exam and the result and they don't contact any more than that.
It helps give more background to the industry, so this helps with my day to day tasks.
we have quite a few networking events with underwriters which is beneficial to build relationships
Yes
My team are really supportive and I feel that most other departments would be similar, therefore its more enjoyable.
Be yourself in the interviews so you can see if you're a right fit for the company.
