As a DevOps apprentice, my focus at RWE is on learning and contributing to the optimization of our software delivery processes. I'm gaining hands-on experience with automation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve efficiency. Before joining RWE as a DevOps apprentice I had little knowledge on what DevOps is as well as basic coding knowledge. However, as an apprentice here due to the great guidance I receive as well as the online classrooms set up by QA my knowledge on DevOps and coding have been greatly enhanced allowing me to efficiently work with the senior team as well.

As a DevOps apprentice at RWE, I thoroughly enjoy the program. The hands-on experience with innovative technologies and collaboration within the DevOps team has been both exciting and educational. From my Training provider which is QA, I get a decent amount of support from them ranging from any questions I need answered or just general guidance upon some of the coursework material. QA also have their own cloud academy section where I am able to effectively go through some examples of coding or just get on with a hands-on lab.

My qualification from the training provider significantly enhances my performance as a DevOps apprentice at RWE. The comprehensive program provides a solid foundation in DevOps principles and practical skills, directly applicable to my role. The hands-on approach has bridged the gap between theory and application, allowing me to confidently contribute to the team's objectives. This qualification has proven invaluable in preparing me for real-world challenges within the dynamic DevOps environment at RWE.

There are many extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work. RWE has their own cricket team, as well as different events taking place throughout the year to celebrate different cultures. Furthermore, a lot of teams tend to go out and socialise especially during lunch when everyone is taking a break.
