My role in the business is a demand analyst. As a demand analyst my job includes: data analysis, data entry, producing and distributing reports (to do with pricing, sales, demand) and many other daily/weeks/monthly tasks.
I have had significant development in my Excel, PowerBi and VBA skills and knowledge. I am also learning code which will open up a lot of new opportunities for new projects.
The whole company has made me feel very welcome and part of the team. Im learning a lot and my projects are allowing me to make real contributions to the company.
I had a training plan set in place for when I started my role to make sure I could learn and develop all the skills and knowledge I needed to do my job proficiently.
Cummins offers a range of support through out the full apprenticeship. They offer online courses and all staff are more than willing to help you with anything you need.
Kirklees college provide each student a Assessor who will support you through out your apprenticeship. You have regular meetings to track your progress on the course and the work you are doing, then you set yourself targets for when work will be completed.
My training involves doing lots of research and reaching out to other teams and colleagues for information. This gives me a greater understanding of the business and how it operates.
At Cummins every employee has to do volunteering at least once per year which is. Cummins works with and supports many communities and organizations to help them reach their goal. Employees can sign up to which every activity they like and then spend the day giving back to the community.

Cummins is an excellent company to work for, they support you in all the work you do and offer courses to all employees to help them gain/build on skills and knowledge. All employees are friendly, inclusive and willing to help.
