I work within different teams of my company , creating UI’s in order to improve their experience on internal systems and customer experiences on the website. My day to day can involve meetings, creating prototypes and presenting.
I have become more competent in using Figma and I am beginning to develop my presentation skills which is somthing I have always lacked confidence in.
I enjoy the UX programme a lot , with the ability to learn whilst applying it to a practical work place. I love the people I have met within my company and feel a sense of belonging.
The programme is structured well with University days at the start of the month allowing for time to focus on each setting ie. Work life , study life and social life
Whatever the highest option is. my team and company are very supportive and I feel if I ever have any issues I have many people to turn too.
Again a lot. The university offers many different resources that can aid my progression and wellbeing, and my mentor is really helpful and I feel somone I can turn to in any times of need.
The stuff I learn in university can be applied to my work life, however there is only so many situations you can be prepared for. We are taught a very strict way of what UX and practices are, however in a workforce things work very differently and at a different pace .
I like to get involved in many different work events ,even if it includes students coming in for open days or school trips. We have the work socials and I go out with people I have made friends with within the company .
Yes
The company as a whole is a really comfortable setting. I felt a sense of belonging and reassurance at a time where imposter syndrome would usually kick in, and instantly felt valued in my role. The opportunities provided by AJ Bell are endless, and it is overall a really great place to work and develop
be confident and show your personality. It doesn’t matter if you feel like you don’t have the knowledge or ability, just show you are willing to learn and have passion for what you are applying for
