I work in the residential development land team at Savills, my role consists of me appraising development opportunities, preparing marketing information for the disposal of those opportunities and carrying out site visits for potential purchasers.
I have learned how to appraise development opportunities, communicate with clients, balance work and uni life.
I have just finished my second year on the programme and I am thoroughly enjoying it, socialising with colleagues and clients has been the highlight.
Everything is set out for us from the beginning, with a clear structured pathway, the ability to be able to talk to other apprentices that have previously completed modules or are preparing for their APC has been very beneficial
I have support there if needed, my manager will always offer to give my assignments a once over before submitting.
I have previously struggled on the law modules and UCEM have helped with 1 to 1 sessions to help with this
There are certain modules I find more relevant compared to other modules.
Yes, Savills provide a number of different opportunities to get involved in, it is encouraged that apprentices attend any grad events as well to meet as many new people as possible, I help organise the 5 a side football for Savills now, and will also help out with the 11 a side property tournament in the summer.
Yes
The apprenticeships scheme has provided me with an opportunity someone from my background would probably of struggled to obtain, it has given me a pathway into an industry that I also knew nothing about before leaving sixth form
Be yourself and work hard
