I am an accounts Payable Apprentice and my role involves mainly working on Incoming invoice and processing this includes rates processing through to business rates coders. Other task such as managing a monthly Rates control Report, dealing with councils on a daily basis regarding refunds or queries on properties / Accounts are also apart of my duties.
I have learnt a wide range of skills, such as excel to professional emails. liaising with people in Savills to providing information to suppliers on key queries they may have. I have developed in my communication skills as well as my time management skills, by balancing both full time work and Diploma .
Savills have a great work environment and I do feel valued and supported while I do my learning alongside
The training programme is well structured and allows me to work at a pace that ensure I have a balance in both my education and practical learning
My employer supports me massively when it comes to my apprenticeship, and I feel at ease knowing that I have support whenever I need it, and this makes me feel a lot less pressured
I also receive a lot of support from my training provider, and my tutor is there to support me if ever I am struggling with my qualification in any area
Alot of the content that I have been learning in my qualification crossed over with the work I do in the workplace, so It allowed me to have an understanding of the processes that Savills used.
Savills have many extra-Curricular activities' to get involved in, and incentives to look forward too
Yes
As it is a great alternative to university and Savills make it a great experience
I would say to anyone, that they should be themselves, and show they skills to the best that they can, take advantage of cover letters, take pride in your CV, personal brand and image is everything and is something that first impressions are always based off
