Providing Health, Safety & Environment Support for the Technical Operations, including : risk assessments, safety audits, HSE data analysis to aid decision making, implementing improvements, writing and delivering training, working across functions and business units.
I have developed my communication skills from delivering training and working with a wide range of people from all over the world. I have learnt how to use data to show progress and areas for development. I have learnt how to complete risk assessments and incident investigations. I have developed a skill working with chemical management and safety with chemicals
I enjoy my program now that i have become involved in bigger projects and working with people in varied specialties. Becoming more confident allowed me to enjoy my program more as i didn't need continuous support and felt like i could do my job independently while also knowing my limitations and being able to ask for support or guidance.
There is not much structure to my program, apart from the process of the end point assessment. I am not taught specific topics or given them to learn. I have to learn everything from the job and tasks i become involved in. I would find it more helpful to have classes with a teacher
I receive a lot of support from my manager with anything i need
up until recently i haven't received any at all, but after this was fed back we have a better plan in place for college visits
The qualification from the training provider doesn't help my role in anyway
I am a co leader in the Women's Empowerment Network in Women's Health, we also have other volunteering opportunities
