Apprentice site engineer- overview: - setting out on site -ordering materials and plant for site -performing day to day engineering problems to suit the design given to me. - work alongside site engineer and other operatives on site. -produce meaningful solutions to design drawings that may not work on site.
- problem solving -communication -teamwork -setting out as an engineer - hands on engineering work
I enjoy my programme to its full extent. Learning at college one day a week on my HNC course provides me with valuable knowledge about civil engineering. However, I believe most of my learning comes from being on site 4 times a week, learning off of my mentor. All of the skills i have gathered so far from this programme have helped me become the engineer i want to be.
Yes
JN Bentley has provided me with valuable engineering skills, as well as the knowledge of the company. Since starting my engineering apprenticeship here, they have not only provided me with support from all parts of the company, however, they are setting me up to be the best possible engineer I can be.
Go for it. Once you are in this company, you will realise why so many people speak so highly of this organisation.
