  • Data analyst within a finance team. Assisting the finance team by creating reports and helping to make sure that they pull the correct information for their financial reporting.

  • How to use Machine Learning to make models for predictive reporting.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It was good to learn the actual academic principles behind things that I'd picked up through self-learning in the course of my job, prior to starting the apprenticeship. I knew how to do things before, now I understand why.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was pretty good. I enjoyed the mix of personal preparation tasks, done in my own time, and group workshops at regular points in the course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My managers were always supportive and made sure that I got enough time to carry out work for the apprenticeship, whilst still working on my main job.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • It was nice to have a personal coach that I could contact at any time if I had any queries. They also provided a number of online seminars and workshops that were useful at times where I was struggling with specific topics.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have much more confidence to talk about things now, especially to other people who work in more senior positions. Being self-taught to do a job is all well and good, but it's nice to know some of the proper terminology to use to get people to take you more seriously.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes. There are many things that are organised through our corporate communications system.

  • Don't be afraid to just be yourself. Everyone is welcome here, as long as you're willing to work hard and be a part of the team.
