On the job training in maintaining aircraft. This involves replacement of components, inspections, servicing and more.
I have learned loads of new skills during this apprenticeship. Things like my handskills and communication have come a long way since starting.
I really enjoy the program. It has given me opportunities to work in various place on different aircraft, as well as meet so many new people.
I think it is pretty well structured. I like the opportunities we get, to work on rotary as well as fixed wing aircraft.
I am very well supported by my employer. I have been offered help whenever it's needed and know that there are resources that I can utilise if needed as well
We are given plenty lots of time to study and revise whenever needed. We are also given the materials and mentors we need in order to complete our qualifications.
I think it helps quite well. The questions we are given and the task reports we have to write up help me to think more about the job and come up with questions for area that I might not fully understand yet.
There are different groups you can join and social events that happen throughout the year.
Yes
I've had a good experience with Boeing as an apprentice. I have travelled to new places, met lots of new people and learned so much. Many of the opportunities that I have had, I did not expect to get as an apprentice.
Always be open to opportunities that come your way as they can take you places and show you things you may never have expected.
