I am an early years practioner and I work in a nursery from ages of 6 months to 4 years old. I am in the 2-3 year olds room and have 6 key children. I play, care for, clean, wash up and create activities for the children.
I have learnt a lot of skills such as childrens needs and requirments from me as a care giver to them, childrens mannerisms, being creative and being there for the children every day.
I enjoy being with the children everyday and helping them to grow through life. I feel very needed by them as they seek comfort and help from you when their parents aren't there.
Very well organised and I am always informed by my assessor when things are due, when I will be seeing them next and always reasurred that they are there to help me.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. They send me on the training that is required for me to help my development and always there to answer my questions.
I receive a lot of help and communication from my assessor and they are always there to support me.
I feel that it is doing a great job with helping my understanding and progress. I feel that I have learnt a lot from my training so far and it shows within my work at the nursery.
We have open days, do group outings and celebrate things like birthdays and christmas together.
Yes
Very understanding company and the management always make you feel seen and welcomed.
Be confident, have some base knowledge about children if applying for an apprenticeship, try and have some training prior and be yourself.
