Customer visits to ensure that the customer is spending with us, ensure that our service is up to scratch and feedback to internals and the branch manager of the findings. Also to bring a lot more business in to us and ensure that terms are updated where needs be, in order to get as much business from them as possible.
Yes, especially in the management/leadership. Not actually doing the entire job myself but delegating work and helping to coach where required to get them to a required level to make it more beneficial to myself as well as the business as a whole.
I enjoy this as we get to speak to different people in the TP Group to see what they are doing and can we do stuff differently in order to maintain a strong approach across the group. I like learning new skills and developing to get myself ready for the next step in my career.
Set standards are in place that we can review and see how far along the programme we are and what is required to pass at the best of standards. Full support from the mentors as they are on hand always to go through a review your work and direct you into the right place if you are slightly unsure of what is needed.
I do get full support to complete this programme, it has been difficult recently due to us having a bit more pressure in order to get more sales through the door, but I always ensure that I give myself the correct time to complete my work and ensure I stick to the timeline.
So much support. Cannot thank the mentors enough for the support that they give to me. I am one to ramble on a lot and have worked very hard with my mentor to ensure that I don't do that as much.
I think I have learnt a lot in order to correspond with the job I do day-to-day, I can utilise my new skills in my job as well as getting me ready for the next job.
I get involved heavily in social activities with my customers, entertaining is a big part of my current job and is slightly out of my comfort zone but I do enjoy this as it gets me a better relationship with the customers.
Yes
Good business to work for and in the 8 and a half years I have worked for the TP Group I have been lucky enough to have gotten from a branch administrator to an account manager in such a small bit of time.
Do not look at the business as just a builders merchant or for my case at BSS a plumbing & heating business, as this may put some people off. It is a lot more than that and will build many skills going forward in your career.
